Police again evict Occupy Oakland's tent city

Before dawn this morning, Nov. 14, police in riot gear moved in to evict Occupy Oakland campers from their tent city in a plaza in front of City Hall.

The U.S.'s first step back to sanity took place Nov. 8 - most prominently in Ohio but also from Maine to Mississippi. Citizens had clearly had it with seeing their families served up as piñatas to extremist attacks on the middle class.

Thousands join largely peaceful Occupy Oakland protest

Nov. 2 in Oakland was packed with rallies, marches, gatherings of children and families, and a disability community action. Later a picket line of 5,000 shut down the Port of Oakland, the nation's fifth busiest port, when longshore workers refused to cross it.

Unions urge last minute calls to Senate today on jobs

The U.S. Senate will vote on the Rebuild America Jobs Act, which would immediately create jobs by putting $59 billion into infrastructure repairs.
