Death has a message: Look Both Ways
I went to see “Look Both Ways” at 11 p.m., a time when I didn’t think anybody would see me slipping in without my movie buddy. If caught, I planned to say, “She wouldn’t have enjoyed this one anyway, as I already heard it’s about death, and she generally likes upbeat films.” How wrong I was!

Another 9/11 movie
I’m the kind of person who likes to listen to music when I write, so I found something audible that fits perfectly for this review: Jefferson Airplane’s “Miracles.” In two words, “Flight 93” (not to be confused with the film “United 93”) is a tearjerker.

Essence music festival declares Peace is power

Recently the St. Louis Post-Dispatch printed an article about President Bush’s standing in Missouri. According to the Post-Dispatch, the president isn’t very popular. In fact, Bush has found himself in “politically unfriendly territory.”

Dozens of Greyhound workers, including a delegation from Memphis, above, rallied outside the Chicago Greyhound terminal June 28 to protest the company’s introduction of nonunion uniforms for drivers.
